According to a Pew Research Center survey “among Hispanics ages 25 to 29, just 15% of Hispanics had a bachelor’s degree in 2013” (Krogstad). This is worrying; it is great to analyze the lack of Hispanics higher education in the United States and the State of Kansas something that one cares about by using statistics and information about the racial gap in educational attainment that explains the lower rates in Hispanics. Hispanics lowest rates of college degree attainment are a result of immigration growth, parental lower incomes, family socioeconomic status, family cultural background, and poor parental involvement. One of the causes for the low rate of educated Hispanics is the Central American immigration population continued grow. The
Is College the Best Option College is a place that people go to study in and get their degrees. College helps students get educational and be more knowledgeable. Also, it teaches them who to take responsibilities and do their works. College helps students and gives them a degree which will help them get a better job. In my perspective college is the best place for people to go and get their degrees.
It is easy to think college is not worth the cost to become better, but getting educated makes people better, and happier in the future and sometimes even in better health (Leonhardt 25 ). Becoming a better and happier person is good for everyone. Even former President Obama says “‘Education helps us be better people. It helps us be better citizens. You came to college to learn about the world and to engage with new ideas and to discover the things you 're passionate about -- and maybe have a little fun’”
For many people, college is an important key for their future. Some people go to college for the job opportunities and the new windows it can open. Others go just for the education and experience. Obama once said “And no matter what you want to do with your life, I guarantee that you’ll need an education to do it.” (Obama 67-71) College education is typically considered to be very useful when one is wanting their dream career or a career with good annual pay. Without college education, it is highly likely that employers will not hire people with only a high school diploma. It is often argued that it is never the responsibility of the school to teach students skills that are not academic. One may say that the way a student should be taught on the values of life are up the parents. Admittedly, teachers and parents are two different respected leaders in a students life.
