“Time management refers to numerous techniques and skills that can help a person to make use of the available time in the most efficient way and to accomplish goals, tasks and projects within the predetermined period of time” (Effective Time Management Tips, Planet of Success). Being in online courses has increased my time management skills to form ways that efficiently accomplish tasks. The use of calendars has provided aid in planning, scheduling, and organizing my schoolwork and own life activities. Prioritizing tasks is possibly one of the most important practices to manage time.

POSEC method- Prioritizing, Organizing, Streamlining, Economizing, and Contributing. “The POSEC method can be summarized as a method to break the main goals into smaller subgoals and tasks, which makes it easier to address one subgoal after another until the main goal is finally accomplished.”
I believe that in time management, the phrase, “Work smarter, not harder”, means getting more work done in shorter amounts of time. How could we do this? Eliminating the unnecessary, removing distractions or reducing interruptions, planning, and if possible, multi-tasking. I love to multi-task but I am aware that I can only do it with certain tasks. For me, it requires ALWAYS devoting full attention to the most important tasks, but maybe completing two simple tasks at a time. Furthermore, I recognize the importance of planning and have gotten pretty good at incorporating it to my everyday life. My biggest difficulty, is not getting distracted. I try to make good use of my time and do a little online shopping and getting on social media platforms, when I take a much needed break. The problem is I lose track of time, and extend my breaks, but I have gotten better. Work is my focus and I will not stray away from
