Suicide is often thought considered a very tragic thing in society. Robin Williams is an example of this. A tragic death caused by drugs and suicide. Robin was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia which causes him to have depression. He ended up killing himself by hanging himself and cutting. This caused a rise in suicide in the following months and greatly impacted the acting community. The death of Robin Williams was caused by Lewy Dementia, cutting himself and strangling himself; as a result, there was a huge impact on the acting community, and there came an increase in suicide deaths in the following months.
One cause was a disease he had that he never knew about, Lewy body dementia. Lewy body dementia is a disease that causes a decline in mental abilities. After his body was found dead an autopsy revealed that he had Lewy body dementia. He was losing his mental ability and as some would say losing his mind. Three months before his suicide he was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He was depressed, anxious, and pardoned. According to Marco Margaritoff and All Thats Interesting online article, “he didn’t feel like the Parkinson’s diagnosis adequately explained those issues. So he and his wife planned to go to a neurocognitive testing facility to see if there was something else going on,”(Margaritoff). Robin

Williams was a well-loved actor and comedian. Taking the acting industry by storm, actors and friends said their kind words about Williams. From the book When the Laughter Stops “Quite how wrong, however, soon became all too clear. for this wasn't a tragic medical emergency, rather it seemed that The Talented but tormented comedian had taken his own life,” (Herbert). This is saying that his death was sad and too soon. People coming out and saying how important and awesome he was in the acting community. His suicide did not only affect the acting community but also the whole world.
