Before starting the test the eggs were put in 200 ml of vinegar to dissolve the shell to put in the energy drinks. When put in the vinegar there some bubbles that appeared and the eggs were floating. After 2 days they were taken out to be rinsed there where some foams on top of the beaker from the dissolved shells. The experiment will be set up with three test energy drinks and also a control beaker. the control beaker was filled up with 200ml of room temperature water. the three energy drinks was filled up separately with 200ml of coke red bull and coffee. before putting them in the liquid the eggs were weighed individually look on data table to see results the results of our experiment somewhat supported the hypothesis but there was more …show more content…

between the control liquid and the energy drinks is that control did not change in colour and didn't have the same effects as the energy drinks except the eggs in coffee which had no added sugar and contained water. red bull and coke contained mostly sugar and caffeine having low concentration of water than the egg this the egg also shrunk in the red bull and coke because the water was leaving the cell through diffusion. the water in the cell moved to the outside environment of the red bull coke and coffee because the solute is greater there accordingly to the results ending up with the egg increasing then decreasing the mass of the cell. on the last day when the experiment was finished the eggs were busted in there beaker to see what has happened in the egg while the egg wherein the energy drink the egg yolk that was in the coffee changed to a dark brown also the coke changed to a lighter brown and the red bull did slightly change to a yellowish colour and the egg in the water did not change at all because of the movement of the water and energy drinks. some of the thing in the experiment did go
