I read the book Einstein's Telescope the Hunt for Dark Matter and Dark Energy in the Universe by Evalyn Gates. This book is about the foundation of our universal principles, and the unknown we are striving to find, as well as the search for the fuel source of the expanding universe, dark energy. The book also gives a firm foundation for people who don't have a basic understanding of universal principles, and simplifies complex terms to an understandable level, such as when the author says,”imagine you are a bug who lives on a black tarp wrapped in a sphere if you never look up then you will never see an end to your world, it will be an infinite plane, thus is the concept of spherical space.” Gates Pg. 79. Where this book uses analogies to explain the complex movement and interactions of space time, I would be trying to explain the facts and fast track the person who wants to know something. The book uses diagrams to help people imagine what a certain event or object would look like, for example the book uses a diagram to show the effects of gravitational lensing on a distant galaxy. Me being me would try to explain using words and phrases, instead of showing a diagram representing the correlation between water temperature and fish population i would say that when the water temp rises, the population of bony and cartilaginous fish increase do to the natural instinct to maintain warmth. This makes me and this book different, although we use different methods of explaining terms, objects, or phenomena we have more things about us that are not alike, for example this book uses the common phrases associated with a certain tool. The Telescope in the title is referring to the discovery of gravitational lensing which was first discovered by Einstein. Einstein's Telescope is a common name used to describe gravitational lensing. Me on the other hand would have used the proper term for the tool. In scuba diving the mouthpiece is called a
