In Einstein’s letter to, Franklin D. Roosevelt, he discusses the importance of uranium. Einstein informs Roosevelt on what the element, uranium could do. He has communicated with Fermi and Szilard, about how uranium can be “turned into a new and important source of energy”. Einstein tries to convince Roosevelt that this could very well work.

Einstein sees uranium as the next big thing. He states that we could soon build bombs that will be “extremely powerful”. He tells Roosevelt where he can find the best uranium. Einstein had done research and found out that the United States did not have the best quality of uranium. He listed other places that have a better supply of it.
