Crossing the Atlantic and getting through Ellis Island was very berserk. There were so many configurations and elements that I never had witnessed in my life. On a boat in the water for two weeks got very dull and sluggish. But finally seeing the Statue of Liberty was a dream resuming. Getting through the Atlantic was very tough. The one thing that I enjoyed being on a ship for two weeks is that I got to meet so many new people from all over Ireland and numerous new places to me. On the ship, we were steerage so it was very crowded. Being a steerage was definitely hard because it being crowded made it very uncomfortable. I saw something so amazing right when I got to the upper dock of the ship that reassured my hope. It was the Statue of Liberty. When my family arrived to the immigration station it was frightening. We had to do physical and mental exams to make sure we were healthy enough for America. So of the exams made me feel very awkward because I had to take off some of my attire. My family got separated with their being such and abounding amount of people there. I saw the look on some of the other peoples face and it scarred me. My family all managed to find each other once again and we stepped out. There were so many tall and mighty building it was nothing I had ever even dreamed of. The sight of these building excited me for what would come next.
Getting through Ellis Island was a rush and crossing the Atlantic couldn't have taken longer! Their are lots of reasons why you might not want to make the trip but it was definitely worth it. The great city of New York was beautiful in so many ways. The trip was undeniable worth crossing the Atlantic and going through Ellis Island to be an American and start a new life in
