I am thrilled to nominate Ms. Rodnesha Minor for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Outstanding Student Teacher of the Year. Ms. Minor has shown to be true to the spirit of excellence offered by preservice educators prepared at NCA&T. Her tenacity and drive for excellence in teaching and learning set a high standard for other preservice teachers. I have watched Ms. Minor develop and grow over the past 10 weeks into a strong and independent educator. NCA&T should truly be proud of her accomplishments. Ms. Minor manages her time while working at Summerfield Elementary as a true professional.
I choose to pursue a doctoral degree at Walden to further my knowledge in the business world (Beno, 2016). The pursuit of a doctoral degree would benefit my personal assessment, growth, and future business success (Basar, Altinay, Dagli, & Altinay, 2016). Generally speaking, a leader is a person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. There are many different styles of leadership and the majority of them are very effective, but despite these different approaches, all good leaders share a handful of characteristics. So, what are these qualities that make a good leader? We are going to take a closer look at some of these traits including, but not limited to, good communication, the ability to delegate and a strong level of commitment to see how these qualities can help to make someone a good leader.
1. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time. I consider myself a leader, i believe this because i am the type of person that feels like if i am not the one to do it then it will not be done the right way. Whenever i would work in groups i would designate myself to be the one to do the harder assignment, because i only trusted that would take it serious, not anyone else. Also, whenever i do anything that involves a team, i like to take control, because i feel like i am the best one to work under pressure or i can choose the best solution for any situation.
