The United States has always admired people with certain character traits that would make one a leader. The federal presidency stands as one of the most coveted leadership position that any American would fill as long as one meets certain leadership qualities. Rocky Blier represents one of the most celebrated American football players with some experience in the National Football League (NFL). He has a gripping tale of courage and determination that made him excel the sport. Rocky Nlier played for the Pittsburgh Steelers as a halfback player. He player for the Pittsburgh Steelers through two season; one in 1968 while the other one from 1971 to 1980. A critical analysis of Rocky Nlier’s story will unveil some of the qualities he has that could …show more content…

In this case, during his first appearance in Steelers' training camp, Rocky Nlier could not even walk due to the injury he had developed in his last games. Again due to high weight, Rocky Nlier could into earn any spot on the Steelers' roster. He spent two full seasons trying to secure a position in the team’s active roaster. In fact, the organization waived him twice despite his constant appeals and field trials. Fortunately, his determination earned him a spot in the active roster by working for 5 to 6 hours per day to get into the right physical shape. Rocky Nlier has endured many challenges in his life and came out victorious in his football career. The pain from his leg injury could not prevent his from participating in field trials with the Pittsburgh Steelers. A true leader endures al the challenges that come with the presidency and ensure the federal government meets the needs of its people. Apparently, even if one meets strong opposition from other politicians, one has to stay firm and overcome the negative opinions.
