The Spanish systems were really interesting. The things they used to exploit just so their system could become more powerful. In this essay, you will learn the consequences that came upon these systems and you will also learn their peak. As soon as the Spanish gained access to the America empire one of the systems they used was the encomienda system. This system was a labor system. The beginning of it was perfect. Everybody loved the idea of how it worked but then it went down. The system ended up being a failure and used in ways it was not supposed to be. The system was mainly used for labor. Conquistadors forced labor on non-christian people Conquistadors were rewarded for doing this. This is why the system was really good in the beginning due to the reward. This system was a little bit better than the encomienda system but the system was still really bad. The system was used as a debt system but it was used in the completely wrong way. The system required the people to work if they had debt inbound but what they did was made the people keep working even when they already paid their debt off. This made it so people kept working for stuff they never had to do. The system was used for a while before people caught on to what they were trying to do. This also made it impossible for people to leave because they had to finish the job so this meant that people were getting tired and a lot of people died due to the amount of work they did.
