I believe success is one of those terms that has multiple means and to every person asked, a different answer is received. While some people would base being successful in life off of how much money one makes, I would consider myself successful in life if I graduate from college, have a loving family and a steady job. To me success can be defined as achieving a goal that I have previously set and having a result come from various efforts to achieve that goal. I also believe the real outcome of being successful is happiness. There is short term success which adds up repeatedly and eventually becomes long term success. When looking at Endicott and the academic program, I noticed how starting freshman year it is required to have an internship. This really caught my interest because by having to partake in an internship right from the beginning will help me realize if criminal justice is the right fit for me or not before graduating with a degree in that field. Along with internships, Endicott has a wide variety of clubs, volunteer opportunities and community activities that I would take an interest in and use as another opportunity to grow in the social aspect. An example of an opportunity at Endicott that I would like to partake in is Alpha Phi Sigma, the national honors society for Criminal Justice students. By joining this society it would encourage me to have academic success to maintain a 3.2 GPA along with make friends who intend to have the same academic field as I. Along with partaking in academic clubs I also hope to be apart of the gulls club cheerleading team. I have been cheering since the third grade and I find it a memorable experience that results in long lasting friendship and bonds.
