Endometrial Cancer Type Of Cancer and Its Effect on Cell Growth My cancer in the obvious Endometrial Cancer. Endometrial cancer is a cancer that occurs in the lining of the womb. It mainly affects the uterus and pelvis area within females. The cancer begins in the cells that form the lining in the uterus. The cancerous cells duplicate and spread through the pelvis and uterus area.
Possible Causes & Prevention Endometrial cancer can be caused by increased levels of estrogen. Estrogen is one of the main reasons because there is so much when a woman has never been pregnant, has late menopause, and early menstruation. A key sign of uterus cancer is abnormal vaginal bleeding, such as bleeding in between periods. It is also possible to have pain during sex, and no symptoms at all. Different diagnosis can include, pelvic examination,and transvaginal ultrasound. Those would lean more towards the short term symptoms and diagnosis of things. More long- term diagnosis and symptoms would be dilation and curettage, pelvic pain,and Endometrial biopsy. It is important to spot the cancer early so it can be treated and contain it.
Treatment & Prognosis Treatments for Endometrial make a big effect on your life, surgeries such as removal of the radiation. But there are also treatments such as radiation, hormone therapy, and chemotherapy. Treatment is a really important factor and is really proven to actually work for Endometrial cancer if spotted early. The survival rate of patients with stage O Endometrial cancer 5 years after the diagnosis date is very high at 90%. But on the other hand patients with stage IVB uterus cancer is very low at 15%. In the middle is stage IIB at a 50% survival rate.
