1.0 Introduction 1.1 Purpose The purpose of this report is to investigate the impacts of urban development on biodiversity at stumers creek dog beach. This report will include data collected from the creek including; water samples, soil samples and animal and excrement surveys in order to determine the health of the environment. 1.2 Location Stumers Creek is located in Coolum Beach, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. The sub catchment of Stumers Creek covers an area of 13km2.

Although the weather differs from north to south, all areas receive a large amount of precipitation. Heavily influenced by the Pacific Ocean, winters are severe and summers are moderate. Further south, there is less precipitation than up north. All year round, the temperature is often low.
One of the earth’s most diverse and unique ecosystems, the coral reef, is dwindling due to anthropogenic stressors. Coral reefs across the globe provide habitat to approximately 550,000 to 1.3 million different species of organisms (Wear and Thurber 15). Although reefs can take thousands of years to form, over just the past 27 years, the world’s largest coral reef, The Great Barrier Reef, has seen its coral cover decline by over 50% (Kroon 1987). What is causing such an immense deterioration and what can be done to stop it? Various academic journals such as, Evidence of Large-Scale Chronic Eutrophication in the Great Barrier Reef, claim that fertilizer and sediment runoff are two of the leading causes of coral reef debilitation.
Within East Yorkshire, The Deep has become a highly recognised landmark due to inhibiting approximately 3,500 fish species, aiding conservation charities and ensuring educational factors are being fulfilled whist providing a respectable visitor attraction. Before constructing a business a PEST analysis is conducted to ensure profit within the location. Numerous external influences enable business development and opportunities; although implications occur due to the competitive market, physical threats and mistaking the businesses strengths and weakness. Political - Worldwide, European and Government directives, funding council policies, national and local organisation are incorporated within the business; although global warming is a factor
Georgia’s spontaneous climate changes Georgia, as we all know, isn’t the most ideal place to live if you enjoy a constant climate year round. In Georgia you have the luxury of enjoying all four seasons in one twenty- four hour time span. Only a few other places such as Alabama, Tennessee, and other southern states experience these irregular weather patterns. Summer time in Georgia is perhaps the most persistent when it comes to the climate; it’s always hot like an oven when it’s being used to cook cookies for your child’s birthday party. Being outside for just a few minutes will leave you feeling like an obese individual after running a marathon.
Writer’s Statement The purpose of this article titled ‘Darwin - A Deadly Destination’ was to promote Top End tourism and bring individuals from other areas of the world to Darwin to experience the tropical lifestyle and interesting activities it has to offer. I chose to produce this type of text to educate individuals who may be interested in a holiday, about why they should choose Darwin as their destination. This tourism article would be published in Australian tourism magazines, placed in petrol stations, back packing lodges, hotels and also in cafes.
Annotated Bibliography: How Climate Change Is Affecting Our Planet Controversy statement: Climate change is been debated for over centuries now. People all around the world are taking action and reducing burning fossils to minimize the gasses in the atmosphere. Many people believe that climate change doesn't exists. But there are a lot of controversial topics that proves that climate change is real. In my opinion, climate change is slowly killing us and destroying our planet.
The book “The Weather Makers: The History and Future Impact of Climate Change” written by Tim Flanner pertains to predicting the global warming consequence on earth and species. In chapter 9, the unraveling world, the author talks about global warming and how it can have a long-lasting and far-reaching impact on our lives. He points out the substantial and rapid change of the climate and its connection with the effects of El Nino and La Nina are also uncovered. Climate change can be a major contributor as to where species live and how they interact. The changes can also be observed by the changing migration patterns of these species.
Brisbane If the Earth’s tilt changed from 23 to 45 degrees there would be a massive difference from how life on Earth is currently. In Brisbane the temperature change between Summer and Winter would be huge as in summer the temperature would be very hot, and the summer solstice would be much longer, (Highered.mheducation.com, 2015) Where as in Winter it would be much colder, the solstice would also be further inland and it would last longer. A lot of vegetation would die as it could not adapt to the harsher climate and the same could be said for animals.
2.5. Simulation experiments using climate change parameter within ASPIM The climate scenarios are simulated covered the range of predicted changes for south west Australia. The climate change parameter of temperatures are modelled by +2 and 4 degree higher in both maximum and minimum temperatures. The parameters for rainfall -15
Climate Change: How far has climate change affected biodiversity? Climate change is an occurrence that can be related to the wide-spread phenomenon of global warming that has happened due to the rise in the average temperatures of the world because are emitting more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere from many sources. Consequently, climate change is simple defining how different place around the world are experiencing different types of weather and how sometimes it can remain permanently.
