1. The search term I used to discover this article was Gender Equity in Sports. I used the OneSearch Database that is available through UNF’s online library research tools. I chose this article because Title IX is consistently talked about in the world of sport and they wanted to see if it was actually bringing equality to women.

The implications for practice concluded from the study could be that universities without football are indeed following Title IX and that the schools with football should find a way to even the expenditures. Schools with football put more money into that program than their other sports, which is all male, causing inequality between genders.
9. The ethical issue that was addressed was the fact that although Title IX was passed 40 years ago, colleges are still putting more money and publicity in the male dominant sports. Researchers believe the gender equity gap is closing but it will never fully close. Women are still underpaid, underpublicized, and then criticized for using their looks to make money off endorsements. Sports psychologist Dr. Stanley Eitzen said "The female athlete lives through a severe contradiction. To succeed as an athlete can be to fail as a women, because she has, in certain profound symbolic ways, become a man" (Eitzen, 2012).
10. I would like the researcher to compare the numbers from their study to numbers that colleges with football teams have. Then, they could compare the differential amount between the two. I would also like to ask the researchers what schools they used in the study and why they chose those
