For this essay, I will not be doing it on my fear as I don't have any(trust me, if I had a fear it would make this much easier), instead I will write it on ergophobia (a fear of work). If somebody who had ergophobia was trying to come up with a physical description of it, for the most part it would be pretty difficult, with only a few things being definitive, as such I will do the paper from the point of an office worker to narrow the possibilities.
For the standard corporate drone, the physical manifestation would be similar to the environment they work in as it is their fear, therefore the gray of the interior would be the colour as this is the main colour that they can connect to their fear. The repetitive clicking of the keyboards would be emitted anytime you could get close to the fear (similar to The Tunnel where Kenton heard voices in the drainage pipe) as it is a dominant sound in an office, and even the dry cool air of the office would find a way into this manifestation.

This may scare some, but it is still to vague. What about things like it's shape, goals, or even where it would live? To start, it's shape would be something like the cubicle that they work at (again, similar to The Tunnel where Kenton is fearful of the drainage pipe as it is a small space and he has claustrophobia, the cubicle is part of work and the drone has ergophobia), and its goals would be to make them work at minimum wage for the rest of their life, to work weekends, holidays, and overtime everyday. Finally, it would live in the maintenance halls behind the scenes, just out of sight but always there, stalking them waiting in ambush for the second they slip up to swamp them with extra
