In Waukegan, Illinois in 1992, Holly Staker, 11 years old, was raped and murdered while babysitting. An informant led the police to Juan Rivera who was 19 and a former special education student. Rivera was convicted of burglary and had an electronic monitoring at the time of the murder. When the investigators initially questioned him, he denied committing the crime.
The reported crime date was in the year 1984 and he was convicted in 1987. On October 3, 1984, a 15 year old girl, Kristina Hickey was walking on her way home from a choir performance in Park Forest, Illinois. Two days later, her body was found behind a mall.
The killings began in the summer of 1984 when the first known murder of 79 year old Jennie Vincow occurred. The stabbing murder and sexual assault occurred outside of her home. It took a while before the police found out who was behind the killings due to the clues not being revealing enough at the crime scene towards the start. A shoe print was the only clue that the police had at first. A lot of the crimes done were very similar (i.e. murder and rape) causing the police to think that they all could perhaps be related.

She was then taken to a secluded location and shot several times. She died approximately an hour and a half later. then on March 17, 1987, Nolan Haddon, a 23 year old student, was shot five times while working at Buck's convenience store in Idaho Falls.
Rodney Alcala: Autobiography Rodney Alcala, a serial killer, murdered at least 9 women and girls across the US in the 1970s. Rodney had been to prison for sexual assault and other crimes, but that didn’t seem to stop him as he continued to rape and kill. The autopsies of the victims showed that he would strangle women and then wait until they regained consciousness before the final kill. His final crime before being put behind bars forever was the abduction and murder of a 12-year-old girl. Alcala ended up dying of natural causes in 2021.

Edmund Emil Kemper Edmund Emil Kemper was a serial killer who killed six young women and several members of his family. He is known as the co-ed killer. He was charged with eight accounts of first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. Kemper was born on December 18, 1948, in Burbank, California.
The serial killer I chose is Albert Fish. Hamilton “Albert” Fish was born on May 19, 1870 in Washington D.C. to Randall and Ellen Fish. His father died of a heart attack when Albert was five. This profiling essay will be introducing a serial killer called Stephen Akinmurele (21), who has committed series of murders against the elderly. Stephen Akinmurele was a suspected serial killer, of Nigerian descent, charged with murdering five elderly people between 1995 and 1998. The former civil servant had been charged with killing his former landlady, 75-year-old Jemima Cargill, who died in a house fire last October, and Joan Boardman, 74, and her husband Eric, 76, discovered battered to death the following month.
