Hello, this is Eric Weasley, the director of Daily Prophet, reporting from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As you may have known, Mr. Lawrence Wang, a wizard from the renowned school where the famous Harry Potter attended, was just nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. He’s devoted his life to conciliate the relationship between the magic world and the normal world. He gladly accepted our request of having an interview and offered his office at Hogsmeade as the site of interview.

My life wasn’t really like the one Harry Potter had. Life was a lot easier on me. I spent the first seven years of my life in Wuhan, China. Where the weather burned through people’s skin. But it wasn’t even close to being hot when compared to where I lived later, Los Angeles in Southern California. Ever since I moved there, My favorite thing became rain, and I felt as though I had to go to Raging Waters everyday of the summer so that I don’t die of hyperthermia. The sound and smell of rain became the perfect tranquilizer for me. I liked reading since I was young, and the benefit I got that differed from most of the people was that I could read both Chinese and English books, which meant I could read different opinions from different counties. Electronics are like the magic of twenty-first century. They were the start of a brand new era filled with technological advances and discoveries. Because of the invention of computing devices, humans could see the world at a completely different level, with a completely different perspective. For example, technology allows everyone around the globe to connect with one another readily, and even face to face. I dare to say that these advancements accelerated human civilization by decades. Another way of saying this may be that technological discoveries and inventions are just as important as magic. Even though sometimes magic can do the same thing, it’s not within the reach of the general public. Only the people who are chosen can use these benefits. Technology is like promoting these benefits so that everyone can live a easier life. Therefore, magic more or less lack the universal power technology has, and, without hesitation, I would say that technology is the modern day
