Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) was one of the best American authors of the 20th century and he is considered to be one of the main figures inside the contemporary genre He began his writer career as a journalist, who used to work for Kansas City Star, but he was always willing to have different adventures and those adventures took him to drive ambulances of the II World War. Hemingway was showed activities like fishing, hunting by his father, who was obsessed to show him the importance of being masculine. That masculinity is evident in many of his writings.
