Now that Jacqui has forgotten the cure, Bowen, Jonah, and Kevin must go retrieve it from the raiders. When Jacqui finds a telescope that reveals an insurmountable amount of raiders heading directly at Bowen, Jonah, and Kevin. She leaves behind Fiona and chooses to run and warn them. While running a raider spots her in the red sweatshirt and catches them all together. Although, Jacqui believes that Kevin betrayed her, but he didn’t because he is trying to protect her and get the cure back.
Connor becomes a mechanic and Risa becomes a medic, while Roland learns to fly a helicopter from Cleaver, the only other adult who knows about the kids. Roland starts up his trouble anew, spreading stories about the Admiral to sow dissent and to make himself the new leader. Connor ends up on the Admiral's side as a spy, and when a number of the higher up kids are killed, he investigates, believing Roland to be responsible. A short time in, Lev arrives, tougher than before, and joins a secret group that wants to damage Unwind facilities rather than just live out to age eighteen and then leave the camp.
The final test for Finn occurs on his journey to visit Dunston University in the state of Oklahoma. On his way there, Finn and Cade saved a man and his son’s life from drowning in a river. Finn even says that the governor came to their school to “present Cade Hernandez and me with official commendations for being such heroes and saving two peoples (and one dog’s) lives in Oklahoma (pg. 275). This event causes Cade and Finn to rethink their trip to Dunston University and instead causes them to visit Julia Bishop in her home at Chicago. This detour must be made before Finn returns home because he loves Julia and was devastated when she moved back to Chicago.
Kevin Emerson is a siren, people who try to rescue people from the raiders and lead them to the promised land. His goal is to find the cure for the beast virus to cure his sister, who's a beast. Kevin helps Jacque's brother, Dean, with an inside job to take one of the raiders tribes down. During his time of being Dean's messenger to his family, he slowly fell in love with Jacque. He tries to protect and care for her.

When Cassia sees a different face on her microcard she starts to question if her match is the right one. Although Cassia loves Xander she has been reunited with Ky Markham and is starting to fall in love with him instead of Xander, and now she is not sure what she is going to do. In this journal I will be predicting what happens to Cassia, connecting with her, and visualizing what happens in this book. I predict that Cassia will fall in love with Ky and choose him over Xander. One reason I think this is because she is spending so much time with Ky.

The book I chose to read for my book review was “ Killing Mr.Griffin”. It is about 5 high school students who hate their english teacher Mr. Griffin and come up with a plan to kidnap him. Their main purpose is to just torture and make Mr. Griffin think he is going to die. The plan takes a tragic turn and results in Mr. Griffin's death. The plan simply falls apart in a domino effect of terror and grief.
