What am I doing here? A student themselves chooses whether or not their education will be an extra challenge in life. It depends on how ambitious one is to be a successful person in the future, or how lazy a person is and not having any motivation or inspiration to do better. Not everything in life will come in easy, so there is nothing that I can have too much of that cannot be an advantage later on. That being said, there are reasons to why each of us was driven to take AP Literature, having in mind of what we want to gain from it, and eventually you will realize what can be expected from each and every single one of us. It is now my Junior year in High School and I know what I want and what I don’t want. Better yet, i know what I can and can’t handle. I make my own decisions, and one of them was choosing AP Literature. AP classes are said to be very hard, of course very challenging, and that they suck the living life out of you. However, regardless of that, I still choose it, because I believe that the more of writing skills you have, the better. In the end, your writing is what you make it. It is how much effort is put into it that makes it either outstanding or possible average. Therefore, in this class I hope to gain more knowledge and use of different literary devices, and see examples of them being used in books. As well as increase my vocabulary by reading different types of writing, and based on this, my writing skills will improve. Besides that, I want to be able to analyze important text critically and thoroughly. Sometimes we are asked to explain the relation between a piece of evidence to something else, and I can’t always do that since I can’t find the connection.
