If you’ve ever had the chance to watch the 1980’s movie “The Blue Lagoon” with Brooke Shields, you might know that the blue lagoon in the movie is stunning. I had the chance to go to Jamaica with my family and see it with my own eyes, it wasn’t only beautiful it was also a bit magical. The blue lagoon in Jamaica has to be the coolest thing i've ever seen in nature.

We were staying in a place called Port Antonio when a guy from the hotel told us that the blue lagoon of the movie was really close from us, we had to go and see it. Early in the morning we woke up and went to the beach where the boat that would take us there was waiting for us. We got on the boat and started our trip to see the famous blue lagoon. During the trip there the guy who drove the boat who was also our guide started to tell us amazing things about this place, we were getting really excited to get there. The lagoon has a mix of fresh and saltwater. The fresh water comes from the mountains that surround the lagoon, and the salt water comes from the Caribbean sea. The guide left us in the lagoon for us to enjoy our time …show more content…

As we were further apart from the lagoon we looked back and said goodbye to this beautiful place. The guide was really nice and asked us if we had a nice time and we told him that it was amazing. This guy loved to tell us stories so we listened him while he told us that the lagoon was used to be called “The Blue Hole” but in 1980 with the popularity of the movie they decided to change the name for “The Blue Lagoon”. He told us many people of the island might still refer as it as the blue hole because it was the original name. When we arrived back to the beach we thanked the guide for that beautiful experience and went back to our hotel in a kind of trance all that beauty and relaxation had left us
