The Civil Rights Movement was one of the most remarkable and memorable time of US history. It changed the the future, us today, that now we can have both whites and colored people together in peace. It impacted a lot on our American lives today and how we think of society. The Civil Rights Movement took a stand to Americans and the way we treat others today. It made us think that we should not segregate by the color of our skin, the religion that we’re in, or by anything. Some failures throughout the period was the Operation Breadbasket in 1962 in Chicago, IL. The operation breadbasket was to abolish racial hiring practices by companies working in black neighborhoods. The most successful speaker/leader of our time was Martin Luther King Jr. He was the most inspirational speaker at the time, and still is to this day, remembered always as the one who helped us bring whites and colored together to be friends, brother and sister, husband and wife, family. He was a minister, leader, and head of the Civil Rights Movement. He was also best known for in the advancement of civil Rights by using nonviolence.and The most kind-hearted and great-minded man that he led also one of the most memorable moments, The Freedom walk. The Freedom walk was in downtown of Detroit, Michigan on June 23, 1963. More than 125,000 joined him to listen to his most famous speech, “I have a dream” speech. Some others were Lola Hendricks, Fred Shuttlesworth, Malcolm X, and more. These people helped us where we are today and they were great impacts on the Civil Rights
