Everybody knows that underaged drinking is an issue that we face worldwide, but who knew that it would be a problem in a very reserved country where in it’s culture and traditions, drinking is forbidden. In fact in Jordan, almost 62 percent of all teenagers from ages 15 to 18 drink. This shows us that more than half of the teenagers there are into drinking and do so quite often and are following in other countries’ footsteps. The worst part is that most teens who drink have gotten drunk and still do as they enjoy it and don’t think that it harms them. 88 percent of these teens that do drink have gotten drunk before and even so still drink. This all means that they haven't been caught in action and are still exposed to drinks that are sold to them by liquor stores that should be shut down, because selling liquor to children is a disgrace to humanity as it allows harm to prosper. …show more content…

Most of the people that were asked to fill in a survey on underaged drinking, even the ones that don’t drink, and 97 percent said that they were all exposed to all of harms that may occur from drinking. And even while having open eyes to the issues and results of drinking, they continue to drink regularly. There are many causes to why people would drink at such young ages even while being aware of the dangers, and many of which are actually caused by their own peers. Having a friend that drinks, let alone a bunch of friends, influences an individual to start drinking. When that person is in an alcoholic environment and is surrounded by people that drink, they tend to be greatly intimidated to try it.
