I am pleased to learn of your opening for a Dietitian at Vida in St. Marys. I am a recent graduate of the Diploma in Dietetic Education and Practical Training and completed my clinical placements at London Health Sciences Centre. I successfully wrote the Canadian Dietetic Registration Exam (November 2022). While in the Diploma in Dietetic Education and Practical Training, I had a variety of placements which allowed me to explore and develop my passion for nutritional education developed into a pursuit of a career as a dietitian. In this career, I hope to help individuals and communities have the best relationship with food. Nutrition needs changes throughout our lives, I strive to make nutrition care plans that provide a nutritionally appropriate diet that stills allow for food to be a source of enjoyment. My empathic counseling for clients allows me to invest passionately in their nutritional best interest. For example, during my time at HIV/AIDS connections as a volunteer and then as a Nutritional Assistant, I was able to carefully consider through active listening the residences' vulnerabilities (as many faced substance abuse, homelessness and end of life care) to respectfully understand their needs during challenging times. I built upon these skills in my placements, especially as many of the patients were geratic due to the aging population providing nutrition support and encouragement throughout changes in their health. I would strive to utilize my skills and knowledge when working with individuals who are vulnerable as they progress to meet their nutritional needs I have previously done in past jobs and in
