According to this article, education is an important issue for nearly all Americans. However, we often discuss it superficially and seek comprehensive solutions as we change our minds about what the central tasks of schools are, and we are insure how important school itself is in children’s education. Hence, the school deliver what society wants, but slowly and incompletely, so, in this century society has a set of four principles with different goals for our schools.
1990-25: Assimilation. School were mostly important institutions where European immigrants and their children encountered an emerging and distinctive American culture. For the system the principal of this mission was to Americanize the children into devoted and acculturated American citizens.
1925-54: Here education arises dominant by movement that helps and put attention to children’s mental and social health. In my own words, I think it is true because in special education, it requires more money because they need to hire more teachers and what is called related services. This include Speech Teachers, Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, Vision Teachers and Hearing teachers. Hence, this group of teachers and professionals oversee the functions of a good education as well as helping those children to be more proficient in society.
