The first and most common type of treatment is medication such as antidepressants that treat depression. Antidepressants work to balance the neurotransmitters that affect your mood and emotion aswell as control the stress. Antidepressants take two to four weeks of consumption before you can notice the effects. Positive effects of antidepressants are mood improvement, the ability to fall asleep and have better rest, as well as being generally more cheerful. However, there are some side effects to antidepressants such as nausea, increased apetitte, insomnia, constipation and so on. Just like most medication that is taken on a regular basis, if it is stopped abruptly it can cause withdrawal symptoms. Stopping them abruptly can cause withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal occurs when one stops taking an addictive medication or drug, which in this case are antidepressants. The symptoms of withdrawal are runny nose, insomnia, anixety, followed by more severe symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, pain in the abdomien and so on. Only a doctor should decide when to stop the medication and it is usually over a course of half a year to a year, where the doctor will lessen the prescription slowly. Another form of treatment is psychotherapy , psychotherapy can be carried out by a psychiatrist or psychologist. Psychotheraphy is carried out to address forms of diagnosable and common mental illnesses and can be carried out in group or one-to-one. This method is used to distinguish the root of the depression by talking to them about their daily activities and whatever is needed nescisarry. This method works by finding the solution to their problem as well as having the psychiatrist or psychologist teach the patient how to reduce the
