Hop on the bandwagon There are multiple ways to explain the definition of a bandwagon. When we hear the word bandwagon, the first thing that would usually come to our mind is the wagon known for carrying bands in parades. But in this case, bandwagon could also be used to describe a kind of people who are mostly involved around the sports industry, and they're what we call the bandwagon fans. To go more in the details, they are “fans” who tend to only support the best team and brag about it. And then we also have the bandwagon effect which is a psychological theory where individuals will do something primarily because other individuals are doing, regard their own beliefs. This effect is frequently involved around trends, challenges, brands or even a politician. This effect could turn into something lethal and lead to complete chaos, there is an expression going around that say we didn't choose to adopt the bandwagon effect but the bandwagon effect chose us. The bandwagon effect is decided by the society and people’s choice depend , let's take the example of a phone company. An actor decided to advertise for an unknown phone company, he thought the phone was good and he loved it. Then his fans would consider of testing it out and share their opinion with some friends who then does the same thing like a cycle. Few months later, the popularity of the company raised immensely.
