The pill and getting your tubes tied have been two of the most popular methods of contraceptives since 1982 (“Which Methods Do Women Use” ). As to how easy women can get the pill, it isn't as effective. In order to be put on the pill, you have to go and see your doctor who will give you a prescription. Now what about younger teens who are too embarrassed to go ask for the birth control, or women who don't have a lot of time to wait for an appointment to their doctor? The pill should be as easy as buying male contraceptives, and it should not be required to get a prescription or a doctors visit to be safe even for teens.

In order to get birth control women need a doctors visit and a prescription. Most women have full time jobs and other children to take care of so time is an issue when it comes to this contraceptive. Also teens who are sexually active may be embarrassed to go to their parents and ask for a doctors visit while others may also not have coverage for doctors or prescriptions so there is no way for them to get the pill. Making the pill easier to get, like not having to get a prescription can help women make their choice that may best suite them when it comes to contraceptives.
