Corn is in a lot of food. For example McDonalds has put corn syrup in all their products. A lot of corn syrup is not healthy and if you ingest too much corn/corn syrup it can slowly cause you to be obese. An abundance of confusion has complicated the use of high fructose corn syrup since it was introduced as an industrial sweetener – a replacement for sugar, but when the product manufacturers replace the sugar with corn syrup it’s adding more sugar into that product because there is lots of sugar in corn syrup. This caused a huge increase in the obese population. So many people are eating lots of unhealthy foods with high amounts of corn syrup in them and the more food those people eat the fatter they get.

High-fructose corn syrup accounts for as much as 40% of caloric sweeteners used in the United States. A lot of current studies examines that there are both short- and long-term effects of corn syrup on body weight, body fat, and circulating triglycerides. Circulating Triglycerides and cholesterol are separate types of lipids that circulate in your blood. Triglycerides store unused calories and provide your body with energy. Effects could either be permanent or temporary. The reason that they results of ingesting too much corn syrup could be permanent or temporary is because of how much you ingest. If you are constantly eating food with a lot of corn syrup in it then most likely you could gain a lot of weight and you could get a permanent sickness such as diabetes. A lot of kids are contracting diabetes because they are eating lots of unhealthy foods with lots of corn syrup in it and not only its giving them diabetes its causing them to be obese at a very young
