A General Practitioner is a type of physician that doesn’t necessarily specialize in one field of medicine. They provide routine health care to patients who have injured themselves or have an illness. Most of the time, Practitioners usually have a regular patient that needs medical assistance on a routine. When someone is injured, it is usually a practitioner they look to for assistance. The education required for this job is the student must complete a 4-year undergraduate program, a 4-year medical program, and a 1-2 year residency program. Pre-med undergraduate programs include courses in anatomy, biology, chemistry (organic and inorganic), mathematics, physics, and physiology. Industrial Engineer According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), most engineering positions require a 4-year degree. This could get someone a Bachelor’s degree and then they are free to go find a job in industrial engineering. Industrial Engineering deals with general engineering, physics, economics, production design, and manufacturing. Places that could use Industrial Engineering include Hospitals, Transportation, Food processing, Media, Banking, local, regional, national governments, and even in utilities. Industrial engineers work to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, man-hours, machine time, energy and other resources that do not generate value. According to the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, they figure out how to do things better, they engineer processes and systems that improve quality and productivity. While originally applied to manufacturing, the use of "industrial" in "industrial engineering" can be somewhat misleading, since it has grown to encompass any methodical or quantitative approach to optimizing how a process, system, or organization
