Homegrown Terror is violent acts committed by citizens or residents of a state against their own people or property within that state without foreign influence in an effort to instill fear on a population or government as a tactic designed to advance political, religious, or ideological objectives. This topic has been one of the most talked about in the presidential race. The politicians in the running, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, are often given the question about their solution with homegrown terrorism. All of their solutions that were mentioned on both sides, were both very interesting. But at the end, one of the solution, that Clinton made and it really stood out the most. When Clinton first mention her solution to this dilemma, she also stated that citizens in the United States have to be the ones to reach out and try to work in solving the issue rather than placing the blame on a group of people that where not even involved. In the debate on ABC news network, Hillary says “We need to be corroborating with the Muslims nations and the American Muslims communities, they’re on the front line, they can provide information for us, where we cannot get anywhere else. They need to have close working corroboration with law enforcements in these communities, and not be alienated and pushed away.” With this, it would reduce the numbers of attacks in the United States. Therefore, it helps reduce the number of homegrown terrorism happening in the U.S. In addition, with Clinton’s statement, just like everyone else that are U.S citizen, the Muslim citizens are not any less than any other U.S citizen. Which then leads to how Clinton’s plan would help citizens of the U.S not scapegoating and isolating a particular group people for the actions of the few
