The second part is the educational sanctions where the student can be tasked with university or community service in relation to the violation committed. If I had been given these tasks and not completed them in time, I would have run the risk of being placed on Honor Violation Probation until the tasks are completed. The professor can choose to implement a grade reduction in the course, a zero for the assignment grade, a requirement to complete extra assignments or tasks in the course, requirement to attend the Academic Integrity Development Program, placing me on Honor Violation Probation, or any combination of these penalties. I understand this is an inexcusable mistake, your faith in me righting my wrong by reworking my original paper and submitting an extra report, gives me the opportunity to learn from this experience. An honor violation report is filed through the Honor system website by the professor and this report becomes part of the new student case file. This case report is then sent to the department head and either the Academic Operations Committee or the Graduate Operations Committee representatives for that college that the violation was committed in. The Aggie Honor System Office then decides if there was a possible violation committed. If there are no prior violations on record by the student then the professor can then choose to handle the case personally, the types of steps are that of which can be referred to in the above paragraphs, or continue to refer it to the Honor Council for further action. The student is then notified that the report has been filed by the Aggie Honor System Office through email and is to await the commencement of an
