Computers are incredibly fast, accurate and stupid: Humans are incredibly slow, inaccurate and Brilliant together they are powerful beyond imagination (Albert Einstein). How do remote individuals seeking counselling can be reached? Technology assisted or should we tick with the traditional face to face counselling. Technology-assisted distance counselling for individuals, couples and groups involves the use of the telephone or computer to enable counsellors and clients to communicate at a distance when circumstance make this approach necessary or convenient. It allows coumsellor to reach larger client base including rural clients. Persons with disabilities and those who are afraid of person n see them entering a counselling office. Where the major advantage for face to face is that counselors are trained to observe non-verbal communication in a counselling session. It may increase clients’ comfort level. They do not have to “dress” for the appointment. They do not have to worry about being visible to the counsellor, whether for body image reasons, fears of discrimination, or other reasons related to their perceived need for anonymity.
