Seeking a liberal arts education presents an opportunity for me to grow as an individual in today’s modern world. It will prepare me in our frequently changing society which has grown more diverse than ever before with the help of the internet. A liberal arts education can provide me a greater view of the world. Day to day I mindlessly go through the motions of life like it’s the back of my hand. I have found it difficult to live a life with no real surprises or challenges. There are moments in my day where I simply have no self-motivation and all I do all day is mindlessly scroll through my phone. All I have been doing is filling my head with pointless information that the media has been feeding me. Currently, I’m not the best version of myself that I want to be, and I am working to change that. I hope to regain my youthful curiosity again when I was always wondering about the motions of the world around me. Soka University gives me the opportunity to surround by like-minded people. Diversity is the very first factor that I looked at when I began researching for colleges, and during my visit at Lions Roar, I did not fail to see the diversity in this close-knit community. Everywhere I looked there was always a friendly face who was more than happy to share their love for their school. I would not be able to find a more peaceful, and diverse community at any other college. It was clear to me that the students strive to be global citizens like I do. Not many schools have the ability to really allow there students to be open minded and get to know people with a totally different background.
