These chemicals play a huge role in our community because people really rely on the products that are made by them for storage, medicinal problems, cleaning, and working. As it has various disadvantages and flaws, and each different factor has its own negative aspect. Some of the disadvantages and flaws in Low density polyethylene are: • It is very weak which can decrease its durability, allowing the consumer to use it only once or twice • It has a low stiffness making it really malleable if it is a toy or a bowl or a tray, which can change the products function making it useless • Its is flammable and has a low maximum operating temperature, disallowing it to be placed near hot objects, or even carry hot products such as food that comes out of the oven (when using a tray or objects likewise). This not only damages the product, but it can be really dangerous, harming people badly. • It has really low UV resistance, meaning if it is left in the sun (which is really likely to happen) it can be damaged Low density polyethylene is a very used item, meaning people need to put up with these negative effects and flaws, which could harm or force people to either buy more and more, or to change to another item, perhaps another synthetic molecule.
