With the recent crisis in the Middle East, and the ever present Mexican immigration we are faced with what to do with such an influx of people, and must ask ourselves what can we do to help immigrants who risk their lives to get here. While illegal immigration can be costly to the us, it is much more costly to deport them back to their home, but we must also find new ways to help people in such dire need. While it can be said that Undocumented immigrants lower wages for those Americans who don’t have a high school diploma, the overall economy benefits greatly, and those benefits can be used to help the high school dropouts. Most importantly, Many immigrants pay taxes, and will use government services, therefore they contribute to the economy. The immigrants become part of a large labor force, that contributes to the benefit of the economy. In a 2012 study at the Cato Institute, stated that the mass deportation of illegal immigrants would result in a drought of 250 billion in economic growth in the latter years. The 250 billion in losses, would affect the people who suffered from the immigrants in the first place. …show more content…

Due to the reason that the us put them in the situation, through the creation of ISIS and the Taliban, which is the reason that these people are leaving their country. With the war in Iraq and our presence in the middle east, we have caused many of the problems that put these people in their predicaments. We live in the richest country in the history of the world, if anything we are the country to do something about it. Immigrants are often thought of as people trying to suckle of the U.S. economy, but if many of them risk their lives to get here, we must ask ourselves do they even do it just for monetary gain? or are There other reasons?
