Today almost no other topic draws an emotional and opinionated response from people like the topic of illegal immigration. You have those that are totally against illegal immigrants being here in any shape or form and then there are those that can sympathize with their plight and think their should be a path for them to establish legal residence. Those against definitely do not want those immigrants to have constitutional right because they are not citizens and believe those rights should only pertain to those of legal status. Immigration opponents believe having these rights granted will encourage an in flux of more seeking a new home here. A high percentage of these countries are poverty stricken and coupled with corruption and high rates of violence. Trying to escape their situation when no other options exist this coming to the U.S is their only option. When arriving they are not meet many times with understanding or compassion but with anger. Many citizens in the U.S are outraged by the huge in flux in the past years of illegal immigrants, believing that they are bringing about negative effects on structural resources and their way of life. The idea is higher population will deplete the number of jobs and resources to help actual citizens of the country who are here legally.
