An abortion is the medical process of ending a pregnancy so it does not result in the birth of a baby. Abortion is also known as the termination of pregnancy. Pro choice is to be in favor of having the idea that women should have the option to abort an unwanted baby. Pro life, also known as anti-abortion, is opposing the idea of women having abortion. In today’s society there is an excessive amount of women having abortion. One may think that abortion is should be supported. A reason as to why this issue should be supported because all women has the right to have control over their own bodies. "The ability of women to participate equally in the economic and social life of the Nation has been facilitated by their ability to control their reproductive lives”(*citation*). This quote states that all women should have the ability to have full control over their bodies and choose if they’re going to give birth to their baby or abort it. There are women all over the world that can’t afford to have a child so they decide to abort the baby. For example, if a woman was raped and ended up having a baby that was unwanted, she’s going to want to abort it because she’s not going to want to have a baby for someone who raped her. This can be painful to the mother emotionally because, she was raped and then had to deal with aborting her baby. This affects the mother emotionally, because she had to first deal with a traumatic experience and now has something to always remind her about the time when she was
