People might think children or people will use the internet for ill intent, but that can be said about anything in life, from driving a car to owning a gun. I do not believe that we should ever censor anything thing online because the first amendment guarantee that right. What you might find offensive will not offend another person and that very valuable information could help someone immensely, furthermore we live in a free country, not a dictatorship and have rights that protect us from other people imposing their will onto us. Imagine how alienating that would be. How hated a person must feel to think that most of their fellow countrymen think they are monsters for believing in a different deity, or way of life. Sadly, you do not get to pick where you are born, what you feel is right, and what makes you happy. Happy people make great citizens, which in turn make a great society. All the best most prospering countries are free ones like United States, and in the same spectrum all the most oppressed countries are the worst off, additionally look at North Korea. They have little to no interest access, or food and are one of the strictest countries. Their news is made up, which leads to no confidence from their people. People constantly try to escape these types of counties for a reason. You never hear of someone trying to sneak in. We have rights in the U.S. which makes us great. Yes, some ideas are very radical and some people are only in anarchy and mayhem. Regardless they have the right to speak about it because we fought for that right. The internet just reveals someone’s true behavior. Most are decent people living a normal life. A good amount are hateful trolls who speak out of pain. It is easy to differentiate between the two but to hide from trolls is only admitting defeat in the face of adversity. Sadly, some people are monsters, which need to be dealt with.
