PRINCIPLES OF PERSUASION The six Principles of Persuasion are Reciprocity, Scarcity, Authority, Commitment and Consistency, Consensus and Liking. We perform these tasks everyday and don’t even realize it. Principles of Persuasion are built into communication and are used in the home as well as on the job. The example I chose was when my cousin came to visit from Phoenix Arizona. I talked her into coming by using the six Principles of Persuasion and it worked out just fine. Below I’ve given definitions of each Principle. Reciprocity is when you make an exchange with your audience or in one on one conversation.
