When it comes to distributing marijuana to the community, retail dispensary’s will have certain requirements they have to comply with to ensure they operate within the law and follow regulations as they were written. Commercial sale of marijuana is heavily regulated, a lot of restrictions are placed that has to be met to ensure. To purchase, the buyer will need to be at the age of 21, a government issued ID would be needed at the time of purchase. A driver’s license or a passport are some of the proof the buyer can use to prove age their age to the seller (Gov of Colorado). Any one that can’t provide their identity with approved methods will simply cannot purchase any products from the dispensaries. This regulation was placed to ensure safety for certain consumer not to cause any harm from over smoking. The amount an individual can purchase during a transaction is 1 ounce (Gov of Colorado). A person can only be possession of 1 ounce, if caught with ounces will result in being convicted of a crime. Next day people can go and buy more up to an ounce (Gov of Colorado). Another reason why there is a limit to buying marijuana products is due for the reason that certain of marijuana products have different percentages of the potent level that can range low to high but for some might not handle that amount of potent (APHA 1). If the marijuana product is not correctly labeled of the quality and the potent level, the retail dispensary can be held liable for any injuries or death (APHA 3).
