Do Americans really think that if they do supplied with with money falling at their feet they will never be successful? However, that is not true, any one can be successful if they put they actually try. There are many citizens today in America who still think that if they do not come from a strong, rich, wealthy family then they will not have access to the American dream. No matter what a person’s cultural background is, or what language they speak, or what city they come from, there’s a single ideal that anyone living in America can understand: the concept of the American Dream if they actually want to succeed. People today do not understand working hard is the way in today’s world to succeed the American dream. The American dream is the principle of all Americans, it controls what Americans say and what they do. People may feel that America does not provide access to the american dream; however, no matter if someone is born in a rich family, a poor family, if they have a good talent, or they have no talent at all, America still provides access to the American Dream it is just harder to get for some people in today's world than it was when the American dream first established. They think this because the Americans that do not start off at the top have a negative attitude about getting to the top and they do not try hard enough to get there. In the speech “Keynote Address to the 2004 Democratic National Convention” it states, “More to do for the workers I met in Galesburg, Illinois, who are losing their union jobs at the Maytag plant that is moving to mexico, and now they are having to ….” (Obama 79). This is showing that many people think that america does not provide the American Dream, however, that is not true because, all jobs have trouble sometimes but you just have to find ways to deal with
