In history, there have been many stories but nothing like the “Epic of Gilgamesh.” I know this because there are so many plot turns, interesting characters, the places they travel, and what they do that make it a fantastic story. But the overall theme of the Epic of Gilgamesh is if you try your best that's all that matters. First in the Epic of Gilgamesh, there were two demigods named Gilgamesh and Enkidu. They were enemies and equals until they fought. They fought for awhile until they were both tired and decided to become friends because there was no reason to fight when they had so much things in common. This how Enkidu and Gilgamesh became friends and brothers. Next, Enkidu and Gilgamesh went on to do extraordinary quests. They went on to go defeat the enemy that kept Enkidu's powers trapped. This person was Humbaba. They fought for a good while. Until Gilgamesh prayed to the god of sun, Shamash. The god of sun answered his prayer and gave him the powers of the great winds to kill Humbaba.
