A baby is God 's opinion that life should go on. A book that does nothing to you is dead. A baby, whether it does anything to you, represents life. If a bad fire should break out in this house and I had my choice of saving the library or the babies, I would save what is alive. Never will a time come when the most marvelous recent invention is as marvelous as a newborn baby (Sandburg, 1936). It means that without the next generation to continue our legacy, life will cease. Contrary to this era of globalization, the utilization of birth control is everywhere. Birth control is a way for men and women to prevent unwanted pregnancies. If the usage of birth control is widely used non-stop, our generation may extinct. Birth control pills, diaphragm, vasectomy, periodic abstinence, spermicide and condom are the instances of birth control. Birth control methods have both pros and cons. For some married couples, they feel blessed that science and technology had found the way on how to avoid unwanted pregnancies. As it offers effective protection against pregnancies, they can do parenthood planning for the duration of marriage without having children especially young married couple. They may not ready to have children as the responsibility on a human’s life is not easy. They may need time to do preparation on being parents before experience it. On the other hand, most non-married couples are always hoping not to get pregnancies after doing sex.
