A church is commonly referred to as a building used for public Christian worship. However, many people refer to a church as an organization. The Redeemed Christian Church of God Family Praise Chapel (RCCG) is a sanctified family church, not an organization located in Decatur, Georgia. This church is managed by a pastor named Adefila, but as a family church, everyone does everything possible to sustain the church. RCCG Family Praise Chapel 's mission as a church is to strengthen marriages and families, encourage Christian fellowship, evangelize, and minister to the needy.
On the day of Sunday April 10th, I went to a jazz ensemble concert at the Trinity University Ruth Taylor Recital Hall. This hall was much larger than the previous performance I attended. My first impression of the group was that they were relaxed and comfortable. For instance, when the drummer winked the drummer gave when the director explained his switch from the trumpet to drums.

On Show Choir When people hear the words “show choir” their minds may automatically think of the TV show “Glee”, but that isn’t exactly a great representation of what we do. Many people are ignorant about what show choir is because they haven’t had experience with it or no one has told them. I don’t blame them because I know how confusing it can be but I’ve learned through my own experiences in show choir and through my sister’s experiences.
The distribution of homework during the summer for Honors English students has become necessary in the eyes of the Administrators at Spring Cove School District. When it was first installed in the Honors English program, the whole idea was to limit the amount of learning loss on high school students by having them work over the summer. However, independent learning is not just non- beneficial, but actually has been proven to be counterproductive in some instances. As Lisa Belkin, a former principal and now mother of two, states, “In my old rule, I knew I was right to assign summer homework. But now, I’m equally sure that there are even better ways for my own girls to learn and grow in the summertime.”
Sleep is an essential need for people, and many college students deprive themselves of it. When midterms come around, students tend to stay up for hours trying to cram everything all at once, and depend on energy drinks to keep them awake. At the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the Lied library provides students with multiple resources they need to study with, and many students do take advantage within this limited space. However, some students sleep in the library and occupy a table for themselves, and this causes distress in students who need to find a table to study.

Appreciation of the Past with Influences on the Present You can’t create a mansion without pouring a solid foundation. This applies the same way to generations. Without the strong backbone of the past, the future would be completely out of reach. If our past was wiped, we lose our culture, beliefs, and most things that make us human.
What it means to worship in the Christian faith and what it does to uplift them spiritually What is worship? Worship is giving worth to someone or something, genuine worship is a wholehearted expression of wonder, adoration, love, admiration, celebration, and fascination. It is a great feeling that occurs in your soul as you start to worship God for his love and appreciate him for all he has done. Most Christians today do not know the relevance of worship, true worship is more than singing, lifting hands, bowing heads, closing eyes, and smiling towards heaven.
University students including myself time and again lay off sleep for other happenings such as studying, doing homework or even just staying up for the night with a friend. Through a biological clock called the Circadian rhythm, our bodies follow the twenty-four hour cycle of each day and night. Throughout the week, postponing sleep and missing meals makes it arduous to concentrate in class. After lunch, I tend to grow heavy-eyed and tired which leads to me struggling to focus on my other courses. In the afternoon, this impacts my body because it does not give me energy, but instead makes me snooze earlier in the day.
For student like us, by getting enough sleep, we can be more focus in class. A medicine instructor at Harvard Medical School, Lawrence Epstein says that the sleep deprivation can affect student performances in class. Another statistics by Health Research Funding also prove that sleep deprivation will cause
Sleep deprivation is the lack of sleep needed to function to full potential. While college is known for staying up all night, and cramming for exams, this term of sleep deprivation is starting to take a serious toll. Over the years the sleeping patterns of students attending college and universities has changed dramatically. Studies show that as time goes on the average night of sleep students are getting is decreasing drastically (Jensen, 2003). The way students are falling into this lack of sleep are by forming an irregular sleep-wake cycle, which consists of getting little to no sleep during the week, then on weekends catching up on all the missed sleep.
HU200-Unit 7 Draft Assignment Listening to music has always been a major part of my life that I have also learned to value as part of my own human experience, especially, music by various artists of my own culture, African American; and various artists of my culture, have always had a major influence on the American culture of music, in general. From the beginning of jazz and rhythm and blues, pop, dance, hip-hop, rap and gospel music, the world of African American music, oftentimes hosted a festival, which included African American cultural music and a special event, such as, a parade that celebrated the African American culture, like the Juneteenth celebration parades. Whether this type of music being played included musical instruments,
As I stepped out of my car, I acknowledge that the church was surrounded by trees, which gave it a calming and peaceful sensation, the building was long with a triangular shaped form, with burgundy bricks surroundings and a bit of white in the front entrance and some at the very top and sides with a dark beige roofing to give the church some color, the windows seemed to be a tinted crystal glass that was designed with blues and a beige color. As I made my way into the church their was an entry room where a man and a women and what seemed to be their two children greeted me and handed me a pamphlet that described what was going to take place in that days Sunday school and mass, then I made my way to another pair of doors where I could hear the choir singing, as I opened the doors the inside of the church was a tan wood looking color all around and had matching tan benches with burgundy red bedding to match the carpet, the thing that stood out most to me when I walked in was the large cross that was in the very front that shined very bright as if the sun was hitting it to give the whole church light, when I looked below the cross, the choir was singing and beside it was a women playing a piano with so much passion and in front of them was a the pastors book stand also a matching tan color with his bible. The people were very kind as I sat down next to a friend that attends that church, they welcomed me with open arms and talked a bit about them self’s and the amount of time
