Human euthanasia is legal in the Netherlands, Belgium, Colombia, Luxembourg as November of 2017. Its illegal in the Untied States of America but assisted suicide, is legal in the states of Washington DC, California, Colorado, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington. Dr. Schur made the right decision to end Mr. Frued life with a drug that put him painlessly to sleep.
One good reason why the doctor did what he did was he knew the old man was dying of cancer and he knew the old man was suffried loneliness. Which Mr.Frued was conscious when he request to died to the Doctor. Mr. Frued is old man which he already live his life already and talk to his family about it. If the doctor did killl him it still utilitarianism because sigumund will be happy it. He will not suffred anymore. People who are really old or they are in pain everyday should decide if they want to live. Utilitarianism has the most ethical choice that will produce the greatest good for the greatest number.Mr.Frued has cancer which has no view of future recoveries, they weren’t able to receive prolonging treatment rather, they die in an artless death. This artless way of death is what we call as Euthanasia.The old man knew what he want to do so its called voluantary euthanasia. Voluantary eusthanasia is when an adult requires or informed to consant to the death-causong action. Euthanasia will incresing the happiness and decreses the pain at the same time so its morally correctly.Utilitarians do believe that one has rights ann control over their body and any decisions to be made about one’s body are up to them and no other authority.
