Ethical dilemmas in policing is a serious concern. It is important for officers of the law to have ethics and morals in order to not be corrupt and then become bias against others. Ethics helps officers know when to use force against citizens and how much is appropriate. As long as people have power and authority over others, they will always be faced with ethical dilemmas.
Dilemmas such as the noble cause. Noble cause corruption is corruption committed in the name of good ends. Sometimes people may do the wrong thing to reach a good end. Some officers may do the wrong things to get bad guys off the streets. Meaning, that they might bend or break the rules in order to do what it takes to get their desired outcome; crime prevention or prosecution
