The last key point of chapter 2 is “guidelines for ethical listening” the biggest thing for a presenter to do is to be respectful of his or her audience, but it’s also important for the listener to be respectful. In the book it states “listeners have a responsibility to be courteous and attentive during the speech.” A listener has a lot to do with a speaker’s speech, they help with their confidence when they present. As a listener it is important not to judge the speaker, especially when the speaker is presenting for the first time. It’s also important to allow the speaker to have freedom of speech. The book states that “it is important to keep in mind that ensuring a person’s freedom to express her or his ideas does not imply agreement with
