Eugenie Clark was born on May 4 1922, in New York City. she was raised during world war 2. She had collected snakes,toads,and salamanders. She suffered severe anemia. And finally her childhood hero was William Bewe. Eugenie attended the University of Michigan in 1940. She graduated in 1946. After that she attended the hunters college. Soon after Eugenie got her masters degree in zoology in 1950. She then took masters classes at NYU. and got a masters degree there as well. Eugenie won the continents award in 1973. She was asked to study fish in the Philippines but could not go with her Japanese background. She also earned the decorated award from New York City. After that she won the Thomas award in 1986. Her dad died of old age when Eugenie was a little girl. After that she got married and had 2 girls and 2 boys. Her daughters names are Aya and Hera Clark. Her sons names are Nicholas and Themis Clark. Eugenie Clark wrote 3 books. She retired in 1992. She was also an emmy award winner. Then sadly she died February 25 2015 in Florida. She was 92 when she died. Eugenie Clark was famous for the the study of poisonous fish. She also studied shark behavior. Eugenie made major contributions to the study of shark reproduction behavior. Eugenie was also the director of the cape haze marine lab in Florida. One of the books was called The Lady With a Spear
