We are here today to remember the life of Alyssa Wittry. My sister Alyssa was one of the most important women in my life. We remember her today as someone who devoted her life to caring about others. I will remember her as my little sister, someone who was bold, blonde, and at times brilliant. Alyssa was born on June 11, 2001 to our parents, James and Jodi Wittry. She died in her sleep Friday afternoon in her home while napping, at the age of 85. She was very lively and actively living, even at her old age. We did not see this coming as she had just taught her weekly water aerobics class the day before, but it was her time. She was always traveling and going on adventures. She never lost that as she aged, but I watched her grow into a person with utmost respect for people, as she better learned how to manage her attitude. When Alyssa was young she was really only interested in one sport, soccer. She was involved in many academic clubs and was inducted into the NHS, but what we really had in common was our love for soccer. We were both the team captain our junior and senior year. I wish I would have attended more of her games.. She was always ambitious, and had a lot of dreams. One of those dreams, having a disney wedding, which she did with the love of her life.
